the change of the season has brought so much change into my life as well…part of that change is evidently in the new discoveries that I am seeing in my children…I have really been trying to see through their eyes…listen to them intently…
(by the way, ever since I wrote those thoughts down in my journal on listening, and then re-wrote it here on my blog, I have really noticed the difference between people who really listen well, and those who do not…….I have come to the personal conclusion that people who are good listeners are also happy and positive people)
Isn’t it the hardest thing to see other people down? depressed?? negative??? it’s awfully easy to get down into that ‘hole’ & one of the hardest things to get out of it and into the positive light of things………
I think discoveries are one of the most rewarding gifts we can have here during this short time on Earth. I am turning 40 this year, and I am realizing so much lately… it’s like the light bulbs are turning on in my head all the time….that most likely has something to do with the hours I am awake instead of sleeping….regardless, I am ready for new discoveries
what I am also keenly aware of is the fact that once you discover something…or somewhere/etc….it is not always what you thought it would be once you see it/experience it
but that’s okay! enjoy the discovery and adapt….embrace the change it made
time goes by all too quickly, and if you don’t seize the moment, you might miss out on something really great
for Jason and I, our kids are what drives us to discover more of our faith….life….and this gorgeous world around us….
why wouldn’t we want to discover more with this group of fantastic kids??
I love them all so much…they are my world….this mother thing is hard…but it is my job to show them the way to heaven….discovering all along the way (which includes many mistakes too!!)
xo + discovered blessings,
(a thank you to my oldest son Joe and his amazing photography skills – shown in this post)
